VALOR Open Pickleball Tournament

Directions

Kristin School. Enter through Gate 2 (or Gate 1 if not open). Tournament is in the Turama Building, which is the big white box next to the field.

General Info

• The venue will open by 9.40am at the latest - 20mins before first matches begin.
• Please use only one ball per court. If it breaks bring it to the tournament desk for replacing. All balls will be numbered and tracked
• Arrive at least 15mins ahead of your scheduled match time so you are ready to go on the court once it comes available.

Entering Scores

• All scores must be entered by a player from the match into the system on their phone at the conclusion of each match.
• You will firstly need to enter the tournament code at the top of the page.
• Then select draws, find your match, click the edit icon.
• Then enter your score. Alternatively you can enter in the score after each game as the match progresses.

Scoring

• All Open Doubles & Singles Division Matches: Best of 3 games, games are first to 11 points. Win the game by two clear points. Traditional pickleball scoring.
• All Junior Division Matches: Best of 5 games, games are first to 11 points. Win the game by two clear points. Unbound Pickleball Point-A-Rally scoring.
• All matches may warm up for 5mins at the start, and take up to two minutes rest after each game. Please stick to these times to ensure matches finish on time.

Prizes

No official prize giving due to draws all finishing at different times. Prizes awarded for the following places:

• Same Junior Doubles = 1st & 2nd
• Same Mens 3.5 & Under = 1st & 2nd
• Same Mens 3.5-4.0 = 1st & 2nd
• Same Mens 4.0+ = 1st
• Same Womens 3.5 & Under = 1st & 2nd
• Same Womens 3.5-4.0 = 1st
• Mixed 3.5 & Under = 1st & 2nd
• Mixed 3.5-4.0 = 1st
• Mixed 4.0+ = 1st
• Singles 3.5 & Under = 1st & 2nd
• Singles 3.5-4.0 = 1st

• Refunds are not available for player withdrawals before or during the event.
• Unbound Sports reserves the right to postpone, delay, alter or cancel an event due to adverse weather changes outside of our control. We will notify you if this occurs.
